Uploading photos to your page content
Here's some helpful information on how to upload pictures to your Web Editor's page content using the New Page Editor.
When
uploading pictures to your site remember to resize the pixels first to
save space on your web site. After you have resized the pixels in
your photos and made them ready for the web (400 pixels wide, the height will adjust automatically), you are
ready to upload to your web site! (if you need an image resizer click
on this link for the "PIXResizer" http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/PIXresizer/pixresizer.html.)
It also helps to save your new resized photo with a new name to be able
to tell the difference from the original, [ex: original picture may
say-"pastor" and resized picture could now say-"pastorR"]. Don't use
symbols, quotes, periods or &, * , in the file name.
Here's how to add Pictures to your Web Editor:
1. Log into your HaloSites Site Manager.
2. Go to your web editor.
3. Go to whatever page you want to work on and click on the larger "page editor" icon.
4. Place your curser where you would like to add the picture in the content area.
5. Look to the gray toolbar at the top of the page and click on the
Internal Image Icon (looks like a mountain with a pencil on the top of
it).
6. Click on the "Browse" button to find your resized picture (.JPG) on your computer.
7. Click open, then click upload (and insert). Your uploaded files
will be placed in a list at the top left column to choose from again.
8. Click insert after it has uploaded. You can also select an image from your file box on the left side of the screen.
9. Optional: You may want to set the alignment to left or right.
10. Hit insert.
